One clear reason to choose you.

Positioning is the decision everything else depends on: who you’re for, what you promise and why anyone should believe you. We help you make that decision, put it into words and turn it into a plan your sales, marketing and product teams can actually use.

The real problem

If you sound like everyone, you compete on price.

Most businesses describe themselves the same way their competitors do: trusted, experienced, customer-first. Buyers can’t tell the difference, so they ask for a discount. A clear position gives them a reason to pay for you, and gives your team a reason to say no to the wrong work.

01

Everyone describes you differently

Ask five people in your company what you do and you’ll get five answers. Your customers hear all five.

02

You say yes to everything

Without a clear focus, every enquiry looks like an opportunity, and the business slowly becomes a generalist.

03

Marketing that doesn’t add up

Each campaign has a new idea and a new message, so nothing builds on the last thing you did.

What you get

A strategy you can use on Monday.

Not a 90-page deck. A clear set of decisions, written plainly, that guide what you say, who you chase and what you build.

01

Market and competitor map

Where you sit today against the alternatives your customers actually consider, including doing nothing.

02

Target audience definition

The customers you’re built for, what they need, what they fear and how they buy.

03

Positioning statement

Who you’re for, what you do, how you’re different and why that matters, in one tight paragraph.

04

Brand purpose, vision and values

Written as behaviours your team can recognise, not words on a wall.

05

Value proposition and proof

Your core promise and the evidence that backs it: results, process, people and guarantees.

06

Messaging framework

A main message, three to four pillars and supporting lines for each audience, ready for web, sales and ads.

07

Brand personality and tone of voice

How you sound, with do’s and don’ts and before-and-after examples.

08

Activation roadmap

The first 90 days: what changes on the website, in sales conversations and across marketing.

Outcomes

How we know it’s working.

Clear numbers, reported monthly, tied back to the business. If a number doesn’t help you decide something, we don’t report it.

  • Enquiry quality & fit
  • Win rate on proposals
  • Average deal value
  • Branded search growth
  • Website conversion rate
  • Time to close

What success looks like

Shorter sales conversations

Prospects arrive already understanding why you’re different.

Better-fit customers

Marketing attracts the clients you want and gently filters out the ones you don’t.

Room to charge more

A clear, credible difference is the most reliable way out of price comparisons.

Is it right for you?

Honest fit, both ways.

A great fit if…

  • You’re growing and the old message no longer fits
  • You’re entering a new city, segment or category
  • You’re raising money and need a sharp story
  • Your team describes the business in different ways

Probably not if…

  • You only want a new logo
  • You’re not willing to make choices about focus
  • You need a campaign next week

Proof, not promises

A brand built from nothing.

Cosmic Solutions had eight strong service lines and no brand story tying them together. We defined their positioning, messaging and identity first, then built the website, search and ads on top of it.

FAQs

Common questions.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Ask us directly; a real person replies within one working day.

What’s the difference between brand strategy and branding?

Brand strategy decides what you stand for, who you’re for and what you promise. Branding is how that strategy is expressed: name, logo, colours, type and voice. Strategy comes first; otherwise the design has nothing to say.

What is brand positioning?

Positioning is the specific place you want to hold in your customer’s mind compared with the alternatives. A good position is relevant to buyers, different from competitors and believable given what you can prove.

Do we need research first?

Not always. For many businesses, leadership interviews, customer conversations and a competitor audit are enough. If the stakes are high, such as a new market or a major rebrand, we recommend dedicated brand research first.

How involved does our team need to be?

Expect two or three workshops of two to three hours each with the founders or leadership, plus quick reviews of written drafts. We handle the rest.

Will this work for a B2B company?

Yes. B2B buyers compare options carefully and involve several people, so clear positioning and proof matter even more.

How much does brand strategy cost?

It depends on the scope and how much research is involved. After a short call we send a fixed-price proposal.
